Living (mostly) in Japan: Month Nine

Another busy month this month. I think I got to sleep in my own bedroom only 4 or 5 times! It’s been crazy. What else is crazy is there are only 3 more months left. It’s gone by so fast and I’m really sad to leave. I’m writing this from Vedran’s, as I’m back in Canada for his wedding, but as soon as I get back, I need to start notify my apartment of moving out, talk to the utilities, cell phone company, etc., and figure out a plan to move my stuff back to Canada. I’ll have to make the most of the time I have left.

The month started out with My mom being over from about the 1st to the 17th. Check out my other post this month for more on that one. It was a really exciting time, but following a trip to Canada, and then being followed by another trip to Canada… I’m tired!

Me, Naoko, and Issei having some dinner

Right afterwards, I got a visit from Naoko, from back home in London. She was actually stopping by Osaka on her way to visit her grandparents in Kobe. We had an exciting time going to USJ on her first day, followed by touring some places like Osaka castle and Abeno Harukasu in the city. It was a lot of fun!

One day later and I was on a plane heading back to Canada. While it’s been busy, it has been a good break, as I feel like I was starting to get into too much of a routine over the winter. I hope this month has a little less excitement, as I’m sure I’ll have some interesting challenges ahead with planning to move back. I’ll keep you updated in future posts!
